Modern Family & The Middle

Sky 1

Apparently, it's healthy to spend time apart from your nearest and dearest every now and then, what with absence making the heart grow fonder and all that. Either way, it's good to have the Hecks, Dunphys, Pritchetts and Pritchett-Tuckers in the fold again. The award-garlanded Modern Family and much-loved The Middle loosen the laughs as they settle into their usual slots to continue their respective third seasons. There's no question that, together with Stella, Sky 1's Comedy Friday is the home of funny.

Mad Dogs 2

Expect one last sting in the tale as Sky 1 HD's delectably dark drama draws to a close. Will the boys finally escape the holiday from hell and return to home, sweet home? Considering their run of bad luck so far, the odds are stacked against them . Expect one last sting in the tale as Sky 1's delectably dark drama draws to a close. The Love Machine

Sky Living

Chris Moyles and Stacey Solomon present Sky Living HD's new dating show. The Love Machine is unlike any other dating show. Here, cheesy chat-up lines and impressive one-liners have no place - it's all about those vital first impressions. Single guys and girls ride The Love Machine and, when it stops, contestants must decide whether they want to keep their potential date - based on looks alone - when Chris and Stacey ask them to "date or ditch" the machine's picks. Two couples created by The Love Machine will go head-to-head to compete for a holiday, but not before a dastardly final twist gives the winner the chance to ditch their date for a last-minute upgrade

Luck

Sky Atlantic

HBO is set to turn its magic touch to the world of horseracing in a new big-budget drama. Luck will see The Last Of The Mohicans and Heat director Michael Mann team up with Deadwood creator David Milch for a thrilling ride through the darker side of professional horseracing, bringing to life the owners, jockeys, trainers, gamblers and crooks that make a living at the track. Starring two-time Academy Award® winner Dustin Hoffman as Chester ‘Ace' Bernstein, the series follows an array of compelling, intersecting storylines focused around the Santa Anita Racetrack in California. A regular tough guy at the centre of several rackets, Bernstein has been involved with gambling all his life, from bookmaking to money laundering and casino operations. We join him upon his release from a three-year stint in prison, as he prepares to put into motion a complex plan that he hopes will change his ‘luck' for good. But he may learn the hard way that gambling is a fool's game, even if you do tip theodds in your own favour. Joining Hoffman in his television series debut is a stellar cast, including Dennis Farina (Law & Order), John Ortiz (Mann's Miami Vice), Richard Kind (Curb Your Enthusiasm), Kevin Dunn (Transformers), Nick Nolte (The Thin Red Line), Ritchie Coster (The Dark Knight), Kerry Condon (Rome), Michael Gambon (Harry Potter) and Joan Allen (The Bourne Supremacy). With the pilot receiving much praise for its sharp script and top-notch performances, as well as its authenticity, Luck has all the hallmarks of an HBO classic.
